On March 6, 2015, at approximately 1am, Blue Hills RCMP responded to a two vehicle collision on Highway 10, a few kilometres south of the city of Brandon.

Police investigation has determined that a grey 2006 Acura TL, traveling south, rear-ended another vehicle at a high rate of speed, causing it to flip on the roadway. After the collision, the male driver of the Acura fled on foot. The Acura was later reported as a stolen vehicle.

RCMP report that the driver of the other vehicle, a 41-year-old woman from the RM of Sifton, had three fingers amputated as a result of the collision. As well, a 20-year-old male passenger suffered minor injuries.

The suspect is described as a 40- year-old male, approximately 5’10” tall, has a medium build and was wearing a black hoody at the time of the incident.
