Manitoba Hydro has announced a planned power outage for Penfeld and the surrounding area in Steinbach on Friday July 22, 2016. The scheduled maintenance outage will occur from approximately 1pm to 4pm.

A planned outage is when electrical service is intentionally disrupted to perform system maintenance or install new equipment. These outages are part of Manitoba Hydro,s efforts to ensure electrical system remains reliable.
Manitoba Hydro notes that they do everything possible to provide reliable power and minimize disruptions to electrical services. However, as repairs, maintenance and upgrade our electrical system are performed, there are times needed to schedule power outages. In many cases, planned outages are necessary for the safety of our crews as they complete their complex work.
