Steinbach Chamber of Commerce President Paul Neustaedter is pleased to announce Steinbach has been named as the host site for the FCC (Five Country Conference) Officer Exchange program.
The meeting is being organized by the Federal Dept of Citizenship & Immigration in conjunction with their Manitoba government counterparts. The Steinbach Chamber of Commerce manages the Eastman Immigrant Services program, a provincially funded program designed to settle immigrants into the district.
The event will take place on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at the Mennonite Heritage Village museum. Four to five country representatives and invited guests will hear about the success in southeastern Manitoba with the Provincial Nominee Program.
Mayor Chris Goertzen and Steinbach Chamber President Paul Neustaedter will be on hand to welcome the delegation and Prairie Global Management consultant Kim Shukla, will be sharing our regions immigration story.
The FCC is a Deputy Minister level forum involving Australia, Canada, New Zealand, USA, and the UK countries facing similar migration challenges. The first exchange program was hosted by Australia in 2007 with a purpose of fostering professional development and networking. It is now Canada’s turn to host the delegates.
Steinbach is honoured to be the host site for this international delegation on behalf of Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
