On September 6, 2009 at approximately 8:30pm, Steinbach RCMP were informed of a sexual assault on Reimer Avenue in Steinbach, Manitoba.
Investigation revealed that a 20-year-old female was returning home when she was unexpectedly grabbed from behind around the neck by an unknown male and physically restrained. The suspect then fondled the victim’s stomach and breasts.
The female victim was able to break away from the suspect and fled to her residence. She was taken to the Bethesda Hospital and released shortly after.
The only description the victim could provide is that the suspect is about 5’8″ with a deep voice.
The investigation continues.
