The City of Steinbach’s Recreation Programmer, Jason Peters, was very pleased with the results of this year’s skateboard and BMX summer camp.
Seventeen kids came out for the City’s 7th annual SK8 BMX Craze day camp. The weather was perfect (mid to high twenties) during the entire three days and the kids’ time was split between the Steinbach Aquatic Centre and the Quarry Skate Park.
“This camp is the most popular one that we offer,” said Peters. “A big thanks to Youth for Christ for the use of their facilities and for providing staff.”
Kyle Friesen (skate park director) runs the camp alongside Peters.
“He provides top notch instruction and expertise and is a tremendous role model for the kids at the camp.”
Peters and Friesen are both looking forward to making the camp bigger and better next year.
