On October 13, 2009, at about 5pm, Steinbach RCMP arrested and charged 19-year-old Michael Klassen of Steinbach for possession of stolen property over $5000 and possession of cannabis marijuana and ecstasy.
The arrest took place after a brief foot pursuit.
Klassen was also arrested in relation to a stolen 2008 Dodge Ram that was taken from St. Pierre Jolys.
Investigation revealed that Klassen was in possession of cannabis marijuana and ecstasy just prior to him being arrested.
Klassen was released on his own recognizance and ordered to appear in Steinbach Provincial Court on November 5, 2009.
The investigation continues.
