Biovail Corporation today announced that the Company has received the 2009 Company of the Year Award from the Life Science Association of Manitoba (LSAM). The Award was presented earlier this week at LSAM’s Life Science Awards Dinner in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
In accepting the award, Tony Martinez, Vice-President and General Manager of Biovail’s Steinbach, Manitoba facility said, “Having been a
proud member of the Manitoba business community since 1995, we are delighted to receive this honor, which reflects the dedication and professionalism of all of our employees in Manitoba as well as our valued business partners. Manitoba has provided a deep pool of resources that have helped Biovail become a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer.”
Mr. Martinez added, “Biovail’s Steinbach operations are an important component of the Company’s business strategy of developing and commercializing pharmaceuticals that target unmet medical needs in specialty central nervous system disorders.”
