On October 21, 2009, at about 1:40am, RCMP Morris Detachment along with the Morris Fire Department were dispatched to a fire at the Morris Riverview Golf and Country Club. 

RCMP are currently assisted by the Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner in the investigation.  The cause remains under investigation.

No one was injured in the fire and damage estimates are not yet known. The structure was extensively damaged and considered a total write-off. 

The investigation continues.
