The Steinbach Chamber of Commerce will be holding its Annual General Meeting on Thursday November 12, 2009, from 11:15am–1:15pm. This year Biovail Corporation has graciously agreed to host the event.
Open to all businesses, this event includes the Chamber’s year-in-review, the 2008-2009 Annual Report presented to membership, and a look to the future.
The business luncheon will also include a State of the City Address by Mayor Chris Goertzen as well as a Keynote Address by The Honourable Vic Toews on “Role of the Treasury Board in these Economic Times”. The keynote address is a new component to the 2009 AGM.
Chamber President Paul Neustaedter welcomes and encourages the business community to come out and support the Chamber of Commerce and Biovail Corporation. Neustaedter states “This is the third year that the AGM is being hosted by a member business, and is a great opportunity for businesses to join together and showcase the strength of the business community.
