RCMP have charged a Garden Hill First Nation woman with 2nd degree murder in connection with a homicide which occurred earlier this month.
Charged in this homicide is 26-year-old Janet Harper of Garden Hill First Nation. Harper will be facing with 2nd degree murder and assault with a weapon charges and is scheduled to appear in Winnipeg Provincial Court on January 11, 2010 at 9:30am.
The deceased in this case has been identified as 38-year-old Mary Linda Wood of Wasagamach First Nation.
A post mortem was held at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg on January 8, 2010, and the cause of death was determined to be a result of blunt force trauma.
