A 16-year-old female has been charged with second degree murder in connection with a recent homicide in Little Grand Rapids FN.
The deceased male in this case has been identified as 22-year-old Chris Owens of Little Grand Rapids First Nation.
The victim and the suspect charged knew each other and alcohol is believed to have been involved in this incident.
An autopsy was conducted on March 13, 2010 at the Winnipeg Health Sciences Centre and the cause of death was determined to be a stab wound to the chest.
The accused was remanded in custody to appear in Winnipeg Provincial Court on Monday March 15, 2010.
