Manitoba Water Stewardship advises it intends to raise the Red River Floodway gates at approximately 9:30am today to divert water into the floodway channel and help control river levels in Winnipeg.

Following the floodway’s rules of operation, the height of the gates will be carefully managed to maintain natural water levels on the Red River at the entrance to the floodway channel.

Manitoba Water Stewardship is issuing daily flood reports for rivers and streams with a flood risk.
