On July 2, 2010 at approximately 12:25am, the Flin Flon RCMP received a report of a motor vehicle collision on Highway 10 near the Schist Lake causeway located just south of Flin Flon, MB.
A motorcycle traveling north on Highway 10 had lost control and left the road landing in the ditch of the west side of the road. The driver of the motorcycle, 43-year-old Dr. Johannes Groenewald of Flin Flon, MB, was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased. An autopsy has been ordered by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
There were no other vehicles or passengers involved, and no reports of any other injuries or damages.
