Stonewall RCMP have received several complaints relating suspicious business activities in rural Manitoba, relating to individuals selling paving services to local residents.

In at least one of these complaints, the vendors were offering to pave the complainant’s driveway with asphalt left over from another job. The complainant requested identification from the vendors and they departed the home.

The Provincial Consumer’s Bureau has been contacted, and is unaware of any licensed company authorized to sell such services in the area.

Should anyone be approached by these individuals, police request they obtain as much detail about them as possible, including vehicle license numbers and physical descriptions and contact your local police service, as well as the Manitoba Consumer’s Bureau at 1-800-782-0067.
