Russell Bergmann

Local artist Russell Bergmann.

The Steinbach Arts Council presents the “Solo” art exhibit by local artist Russell Bergmann.

The exhibit opening is on Wednesday November 10, 7pm at the Hall Gallery in the Steinbach Cultural Arts Centre on 304 Second Street in Steinbach.

The artistic expression of Russell Bergmann originated from his ongoing interaction with skateboarding. He is a local artist and proud of his Canadian heritage.

A modest, but passionate, amateur photographer, his inspiration comes naturally, simply taking existing environments and seeing different potential than its original purpose. This influence comes from the natural world outdoors and of skateboarding to create this visual art.

For the past 10 years he has been designing and building concrete skateboarding parks throughout North America. He has been creating visual art pieces based on his 25 years of skateboarding. Through this exhibit he hopes to bring attention to  nature and all its beauty with  his photographs. He is a local artist today, but  hopes  to one day branch out into a national contributor to our rich Canadian Heritage.

The public is invited to attend the opening ceremony, refreshments will be served. No admission fee, but a Toonie donation is requested.
