Carman Area RCMP continue their investigation into a vehicle/pedestrian collision that claimed the life of an 18-year-old Walhalla, North Dakota resident on November 20, 2010, just south of Winkler, MB.
Police have interviewed several witnesses who had contact with the deceased shortly before the collision. There is evidence the deceased was under the influence of alcohol when his vehicle entered the ditch and when he subsequently departed that accident scene on foot, north bound towards Winkler.
The investigation remains open, awaiting the results of a post mortem conducted in Winnipeg Monday November 22, 2010 and a report from the attending RCMP Forensic Collision Analyst.
