Around 3:35am, on November 27, 2010, officers from the Grandview RCMP detachment were called to assist Natural Resources officers with a traffic stop south west of Ethelbert.

RCMP report that an unregistered firearm and approximately 4 grams of cannabis was found inside the vehicle and was seized by the officers. Three males were subsequently arrested.

37-year-old Robert Conrad Chartrand has been charged with a number of charges including possessing a firearm with a tampered serial number, breach of undertaking and possession of a controlled substance. 20-year-old Robert Gordon Chartrand has been charged with a number of charges including possessing a firearm with a tampered serial number and possessing a firearm while prohibited.

Both men are residents of the Pine Creek FN and both have been remanded in custody to appear in court in Dauphin today. The third male has been released from custody to appear in court at a later date.
