The City of Steinbach’s Waterworks Department will begin reading water meters on Monday, December 13th and should be finished by December 24th.
Meter readers will be easily identifiable in their safety vests and will carry City issued photo identification with them.
For most residences, meter readers are able to read the meter from the outside. However, if the meter is located inside the house or business or if the read-out is not working properly, employees may request entry to perform the reading. For your safety, please ask for City identification before allowing a meter reader into your home.
Please allow City staff to read your water meter as regular readings can alert you to costly plumbing leaks.
