On December 16, 2010, at 8:40pm, Altona RCMP received a call of a suspicious person in Gretna, MB.

A lone male was seen with a flashlight entering a neighbour’s open garage. The male proceeded to rummage around the shelves. From there, this same person was observed entering another neighbour’s yard, surveying items behind and beside the garage.

Investigation led police to a 71-year-old male resident of the same town. The man will appear in Altona Court on January 26, 2011, for one charge of trespassing by night. He was released on an appearance notice.

RMCP report that this is not a domestic matter.

RCMP say that this is a great example of watching out for your fellow neighbour, being vigilant and reporting suspicious activity in a timely manner to police.
