On January 19, residents in Woodridge were thrilled when the community’s only general store finally reopened under new ownership.

Last fall, the Woodridge General Store shut down and the business was listed for sale after decades of serving the isolated community. The closure left the community without a place to get the bare necessities and fuel.

New owners, Marlene and Albert Bourrier, with Dina and Pete Braun purchased the business a few months later and have spent months renovating the business to better serve the community. They have renamed it as the Vintage Corner Store.

The new owners plan to keep the business stocked with all the necessities, giving special consideration to the seniors in the community.
