On February 5, 2011, at about 12:30pm, Teulon RCMP as well as local Emergency Services and EMS were dispatched to assist with an injured person near Meleb, Manitoba.

Investigation indicates that a 51-year-old man had been cutting wood on a property near Meleb. He had been dropped off at the location and was camping there while cutting wood.

It was reported that a tree had struck the man while he was wood cutting. He had sustained undetermined injuries and had been laying in the woods for three days. The person who had originally dropped him off returned to pick the man up and found him injured.

RCMP, fire and emergency personnel utilized a rescue toboggan to pull the man to the roadway. The man was then transported to hospital with undetermined non life threatening injuries.
