Souris RCMP are requesting public assistance in locating suspect vehicles and persons that were seen in Souris during the past two weeks.
On May 24, 2011, at 7:15 pm, Souris RCMP received a complaint of a suspicious vehicle / persons driving around the town of Souris.
RCMP learned the occupants of this vehicle approached two local boys, ages 9 and 10 years and asked if they wanted candy. The children left the scene immediately, going home to tell their parent of the incident.
The suspect vehicle is described as black in colour, possible Pontiac model, 2 door. The vehicle’s exterior was very dirty. The driver is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 45-years-old and there was a female passenger, aboriginal in appearance.
RCMP members patrolled the area but were unable to locate this vehicle.
On June 2, 2011 at 3:30 p.m., Souris RCMP received another complaint of a suspicious vehicle / persons driving in the town of Souris. RCMP learned in this incident that two male occupants of this vehicle asked a local 10-year-old boy who was biking by if he wanted candy and to see puppies that were in the back of the vehicle. The child continued home and told his parent of the incident.
In this incident, the suspect vehicle is described as a black panel van, with rust spots and a dusty / dirty exterior. The two occupants were male, late 20’s, Caucasian in appearance. A patrol for this vehicle was made immediately but the suspect van was not located.
Police are requesting the public’s assistance to help locate these suspect vehicles and persons.
