The Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra is holding their annual Holiday Pops Concert at the Steinbach Mennonite Church on December 6, 2011 at 7:30pm.
The Steinbach Arts Council wants you to come enjoy this annual holiday favourite showcasing classical and contemporary holiday music that the whole family will enjoy. This year, the Steinbach Arts Council is looking for two middle school students to play ‘champagne poppers’ with the Symphony. Students can apply by writing a few lines of why they would like to play with the Symphony. Collection boxes will be at school libraries.
Featured at the concert are The Hanover Symphony Singers – filled with some of the finest youth singers from the Hanover schools – directed by Millie Hildebrand. Also, guest soloist will be Ashley Klassen, one of our local artists.
The Steinbach Arts Council also wants to send a reminder about the annual Christmas toy drive. Donations can be dropped off at the Steinbach Cultural Arts Centre.
