Steinbach 2012 grant approvals released

The City of Steinbach has released the 2012 grant approvals during last night’s council meeting.

The following grants were approved for 2012 by Steinbach City Council:

• Bethesda Wellness Inc. – $20,000
• KidSport – $100
• Mennonite Heritage Village – $50,000
• Steinbach Royal Canadian Legion – $6,000
• South East Helping Hands – $5,000
• Steinbach Alternative Justice Committee – $200
• Steinbach Curling Club – $3,900
• Youth For Christ – $4,000

Previously approved grants included:

• Steinbach Chamber of Commerce – $103,000
• Steinbach Arts Council – $150,145
• Jake Epp Public Library – $286,211

The total for all approved grants was $628,556.
