Global Day of Prayer in Steinbach.
Hundreds of people from Steinbach and surrounding areas will join together for this incredible event in the history of the church, when, on Sunday, May 31, 2009 the world gets together for the 5th annual Global Day of Prayer!
This will be the greatest prayer gathering the world has ever seen as we will join millions of Christians from different cultures and denominations around the globe. They will fill stadiums, community centers, city squares, churches, parks, schools, and all kinds of buildings, on Sunday, May 31st, to cry out to God for the healing and blessing of our nations.
What started with one South African businessman, Graham Power, in July 2000 has turned into an event where 250 million Christians from 214 of the world’s 220 nations unite in prayer. This grass-roots phenomenon spread from its centre to touch the world in over 40 languages.
The Steinbach and area churches invite you to attend this year’s Global Day of Prayer on Sunday, May 31, 2009 from 6pm–8pm held at Southland Community Church, 190 Hwy 52 West in Steinbach. The evening will include powerful Praise and Worship, celebration of communion, and prayer for our families, our community, our country and our world.
