On May 21, 2009 at about 10:20 a.m., Steinbach RCMP were informed of a man beaten laying unconscious on the grass along Main Street in Steinbach, Manitoba.
Police attended and observed a man severely assaulted and non-responsive. Investigation revealed that the victim was involved in a violent altercation inside a residence on Main Street.
Steinbach RCMP secured the residence and called the Winnipeg Forensic Identification Section for assistance. The victim was transported to the Steinbach Bethesda Hospital in unstable condition and later transported to the Winnipeg Health Sciences Center.
Steinbach RCMP are currently searching for one suspect who they believe fled the area.
The investigation continues.
