Residents who missed out on the City’s first pile of compost have another chance to get some rich compost for free.
“The first pile only lasted about two weeks,” said Wallman. “The pile that is ready now is almost double in size, so there will be plenty more to go around.”
The compost is made available to Steinbach and area residents at no cost and can be picked up at the Steinbach Landfill at 104 Hanover Rd. E.
The City of Steinbach is pleased to offer this opportunity and encourages the public to make good use of their own compost bins at home or bring their yard waste to the landfill to become part of next year’s compost pile.
