St. Pierre RCMP are currently investigating various thefts occurring this month and are requesting public assistance in helping to solve them.

During the first week of March, a black 2007 Arctic Cat F1000 Sno Pro snowmobile was stolen from a residence on Adelard Road in Grande Pointe. Police are requesting information on any suspicious vehicles observed in the area and to be vigilant of locking and securely storing vehicles.

On March 10, 2010, at approx 11:30pm, an unknown suspect attempted to break into the ATM at the Landmark Credit Union on Main Street. The male suspect, observed on video tape was unsuccessful and was wearing a grey and black jacket with hoodie.

Early Thursday morning, March 11, 2010, a brown 2004 Ford Lariat F350 was stolen from a residence on Highway 501 in the RM of Tache. Unknown suspect(s) stole the vehicle which was subsequently recovered the following day in the Ross area gravel pits. The truck was fire damaged and a value has yet to be assigned to the damage.

A residence in the RM of DeSalaberry near Otterburne was broken into during the day where suspect(s) stole computer and electronic equipment. Evidence at the scene depicts a smaller wheelbase vehicle was used in the break in. The public is reminded to report all suspicious activity (people or vehicles) and that they are their neighbors best resource when it comes to looking out for each other.
