Yesterday evening in Steinbach, the Manitoba Municipal Board heard evidence both for and against the Jake Epp Public Library expansion project.
Around 170 people came out to the hearing at the Steinbach 55 Plus Centre which lasted just over three hours. Around twenty people spoke at the hearing, offering their analysis and opinions as evidence to the Municipal Board.
It is anticipated that the Board will reach a decision within the next two months. If approved, construction of the library expansion would begin early summer 2011.
