On May 15, 2009 around 9:30 PM Portage la Prairie RCMP and Portage Fire Department responded to a complaint of a house on fire on the 200 block of 5th Ave NE.

On Friday, May 15, 2009 at about 11:20 p.m., Thompson RCMP responded to a report of a fatal motor vehicle collision, in the Juniper area of the city of Thompson.
On May 15, 2009 shortly after midnight an eastbound tractor trailer unit checked into the West Hawk Truck Inspection Station as directed by the Motor Carrier Enforcement Officer.
