This year’s Agriculture Awareness Day highlights Manitoba’s agricultural strengths and recognizes the many contributions of farmers and food processors to the province’s economy.

Manitoba residents and visitors can eat well and live healthy lives thanks to the farmers who produce the bounty of fine foods we all enjoy.

Agriculture-based businesses contribute significantly to Manitoba’s urban economies and demonstrate the valuable, long-standing relationship that exists with the province’s agriculture industry, Agriculture, Food and Rural Initiatives Minister Stan Struthers said at the sixth annual Agriculture Awareness Day event held at the Canadian International Grains Institute (CIGI).
