New software developed on behalf of the National Pork Board is helping pork producers determine where they can cut energy costs and reduce their farms’ carbon footprint.

The Soil Conservation Council of Canada (SCCC) says it has serious concerns with the recently released National Round Table on the Environment and Economy (NRTEE) report entitled “Achieving 2050: A Carbon Pricing Policy for Canada.”

Bill Dorgan does not see the opportunities for Carbon Offsets as a get rich quick scheme, but he does see them as another possible revenue source for farmers in western Canada.
