The Citizens on Patrol Program, sponsored by Manitoba Public Insurance, is celebrating its Silver Anniversary this year.
The province and Manitoba Public Insurance are once again drawing special attention to the more than 1,700 Manitobans who volunteer their time each year to keep their communities safe.

October 23-29, 2011 is Manitoba’s Citizens On Patrol Program (COPP) Week and Steinbach’s COPP group is holding one of their regular meetings at City Hall on Monday, October 24th, and it will be a bit of an open house event!
Yesterday was the second anniversary of Steinbach’s Citizens On Patrol Program (COPP), and COPP Coordinator, Laurie McLean, wants the community to recognize the value of the program and the large need for more volunteers.
Members of Steinbach’s COPP were honoured both at the annual Manitoba COPP Conference last weekend in Winnipeg and by the City of Steinbach at City Hall yesterday.
Steinbach MLA, Kelvin Goertzen, spent an evening last week with Barry and Laurie McLean, members of the city’s Citizens on Patrol Program (COPP), patrolling the community and getting a first hand look at the valuable contribution the program and its volunteers make to the safety of Steinbach.
