The personal health information of Manitobans, contained in the electronic health information system called eChart Manitoba, is now available to over 10,000 authorized users in 260 health-care sites throughout the province, such as medical clinics and hospitals.

Acting Ombudsman Mel Holley has released an updated fact sheet on eChart Manitoba, part of Manitoba’s electronic health record system that was launched in December 2010 at three health care locations.

Manitoba’s electronic health-record system, known as eChart Manitoba, was launched by Health Minister Theresa Oswald at Kildonan Medical Centre, the first site to implement the new system.
