A new partnership between the Province of Manitoba and the Association of Manitoba Municipalities (AMM) will explore ways to use the next generation of environmentally friendly vehicles safely in Manitoba communities.

Applications are now available for the Manitoba Sustainable Agriculture Practices Program (MSAPP), Agriculture, Food and Rural Initiatives Minister Rosann Wowchuk announced.

Manitobans will be taking a leadership role in developing grassroots solutions to climate change under a new initiative to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by up to 20 per cent over the next three years, Intergovernmental Affairs Minister Steve Ashton and Science, Technology, Energy and Mines Minister Jim Rondeau announced.

New initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions are part of the recommendations outlined in the report of the Vehicle Standards Advisory Board, released by Science, Technology, Energy and Mines Minister Jim Rondeau.
