Government of Canada takes further action toward effective gun control

The Honourable Vic Toews, President of the Treasury Board, on behalf of the Honourable Peter Van Loan, Minister of Public Safety, announced the re-extension of an amnesty and other measures that helps firearms owners comply with the law.

Manitoba opposition MPs vote in support of gun registry

Vic Toews, Member of Parliament for Provencher and President of the Treasury Board, expressed disappointment today that Manitoba Liberal and NDP members of parliament voted in favour of a Bloc Quebecois motion to maintain the long-gun registry.
