Vulnerable Canadians who are homeless and suffering from mental illness will benefit from research examining ways to prevent evictions, as a result of federal funding provided to the University of Winnipeg.

Vita resident, Candace Maxymowich, was among the 50 CEOs and community leaders who spent the night of September 27 at Portage and Main in Winnipeg to raise awareness about homelessness and poverty issues.

Local teen and community leader, Candace Maxymowich, will be spending a night under the stars in the capital of Manitoba to bring awareness to homelessness.
