Earlier this month, the Steinbach RCMP received a complaint of vandalism on Kokomo Lane in the RM of La Broquerie.

Steinbach RCMP are currently investigating a vandalism incident which occurred earlier this past July in the RM of La Broquerie on Meadowlark Lane.

On June 11, 2009 at about 10:30 a.m., Steinbach RCMP executed a drug search warrant at a residence near Marchand, Manitoba in the Rural Municipality of La Broquerie.

Steinbach MLA, Kelvin Goertzen, said he is pleased that the region’s growth and bursting schools has been recognized with the announcement that new middle schools will open in Steinbach and La Broquerie by 2011 and a new high school in Steinbach by 2012.

A record public schools capital investment of $310 million over four years will see construction of new schools and over 400 revitalization projects, Education, Citizenship and Youth Minister Peter Bjornson announced.

The Seine River School Division will move forward with the expansion of more classroom space in La Broquerie.

The RM of La Broquerie has asked the province to consider grandfathering the Marchand Wilderness Park in Marchand.

Sometime between the hours of midnight Friday, February 20th and 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 21st, several dogs went missing from their owners on Highway 311 North in the RM of La Broquerie, close to Provincial Highway 12.

La Broquerie, Manitoba based Hytek Limited has announced it will move approximately 40,000 swine finishing spaces from the United States to Saskatchewan.
