Leaf Rapids RCMP, assisted by the RCMP Major Crime Services and the RCMP Forensic Identification Section, are investigating the death of a male in Leaf Rapids.

RCMP investigators have determined that the circumstances involving an infant death this past November are not considered suspicious in nature.

On November 20, 2010 at about 11:15pm, RCMP Leaf Rapids were advised by the medical staff of the Leaf Rapids Health Centre, that a local 7-month-old male infant was brought in unresponsive.

On December 1, 2009 at about 4am, RCMP Leaf Rapids Detachment were dispatched to a residence in Leaf Rapids where a male had been allegedly assaulted.

RCMP in Leaf Rapids have arrested and charged two 16-year-old males for the murder of fellow 16-year-old, Keith Anthony Woodman.

On April 5, 2009 at 1:30 p.m., Leaf Rapids RCMP responded to call that the body of a 16-year-old male had been found inside a residence in Town of Leaf Rapids.
