Manitoba Conservation advises that recent precipitation has eased the fire threat in many regions of the province and all burning permits issued by the department are now restored.

Legislative proposals would allow data collection to help guide further improvements to the adult learning and post-secondary education system while protecting students’ privacy, Advanced Education and Literacy Minister Diane McGifford said after introducing the legislation.

Proposed amendments to the Drivers and Vehicles Act would allow for the full disclosure of names and administrative actions taken by the registrar of motor vehicles, Attorney General Andrew Swan, minister responsible for Manitoba Public Insurance, announced.
