On September 30, 2014, just after 12pm, Virden RCMP responded to a report of a workplace fatality at an oil well site in the RM of Pipestone, Manitoba.

Manitoba Finance reports Special Investigations Unit with assistance from the RCMP, seized approximately 156 cartons or 31,200 contraband cigarettes in the Pipestone area.

A Virden man is dead after being overcome by gas at an oil company work site earlier this week in the RM of Pipestone, Manitoba.

On August 29, 2010, at about 9:30am, Virden RCMP were dispatched to the scene of a workplace fatality.

On November 28, 2009, around 8:20am, RCMP Virden Detachment were advised of an individual who had been out hunting and had been shot in the right calf.

On January 22, 2009 at 8:10 p.m., RCMP Virden Detachment along with local area Fire and EMS were dispatched to a two vehicle collision on Highway 2, approximately 4 km east of Highway 83 junction, in the RM of Pipestone.
