Thousands of small independent businesses across the province, from family restaurants to small retail shops, are expected to participate in Manitoba Hydro’s new Power Smart Shops Program aimed at lowering energy and water bills.
Manitoba home buyers are going to find it easier than ever before to buy a Power Smart home, thanks to a new program being launched by Manitoba Hydro.
Steinbach Mayor Chris Goertzen, joined by Jeff Hnatiuk, President and CEO of Sport Manitoba, Pat Kirby, Senior Games Manager, Sport Manitoba, and members of the 2016 Steinbach Host Society Executive Committee signed the official agreement for the 2016 Power Smart Manitoba Summer Games which will be held in Steinbach in August 2016.
The public is invited to help Manitoba Hydro do more through its Power Smart programs by saving families and businesses money as well as helping ensure a reliable supply of electricity for the future.
Dave Chomiak, minister responsible for Manitoba Hydro, announced that he wants to hear from Manitobans on moving forward with Manitoba Hydro’s successful Power Smart programs, which are expected to have saved Manitobans over $1 billion on their energy bills by 2016.
Manitoba Hydro announced the first solar water heating system installation in the province through the Power Smart Solar Water Heating Program.
