Today, the Honourable Vic Toews, Minister of Public Safety and Regional Minister for Manitoba, issued a statement on the passing of former Manitoba Premier, the Honourable Sterling Lyon, P.C., O.C., O.M., Q.C.

On October 17th, the Honourable Vic Toews, Minister of Public Safety and Member of Parliament for Provencher, received an Honorary Doctor of Laws from the University of Winnipeg. Minister Toews graduated from The University of Winnipeg in 1973 with a B.A. in History.
