Aloo Tikki (Potato Patty)

Aloo Tikki

Ingredients

large potatoes
2
green chillis
1/2 inch
ginger
1/2 c
green peas
to taste
salt
1 tsp
lemon juice
1 tsp
sugar (optional)
2 c
bread crumbs
oil or butter (to fry)
fresh coriander leaves

Directions

  1. Boil potato and mash them
  2. Boil green peas (if not frozen otherwise defrost them)
  3. Make green chili and ginger paste
  4. Mix mashed potato, green peas, ginger-chili paste, salt, sugar, lemon juice and coriander leaves all together
  5. Now make small patty and cover the with bread crumbs
  6. Now heat pan and take some oil
  7. Now shallow fry patty until they become golden brown
  8. Serve with tomato ketchup
