Keystone Agricultural Producers’ 2017 annual meeting will be held January 25 and 26 (Wednesday and Thursday) at the Delta Winnipeg. It will start at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday and conclude at 12:30 p.m. Thursday.

Producer representatives from across the province will attend the meeting to debate current issues affecting the agriculture industry, and pass resolutions on these issues for KAP to follow up in the coming year. As well, the election of president and vice-presidents will take place.

Speaker topics this year include farm ownership structures and taxes, climate change, consolidation of the agricultural inputs industry, doing what’s right for your farm, and government intervention in agriculture.

In conjunction with KAP’s annual meeting, the Manitoba Young Farmers Conference will be held on January 26 and 27. It will begin with a concurrent morning on January 26, and then continue on its own until noon the next day. Sessions include drones in agriculture and social media.
