On July 6, 2012 at 3:45am, Blue Hills area RCMP, from the Brandon detachment, were dispatched to a utility storage shed fire in an alley on Simcoe street, in the town of Carberry.

Police say that the fire was first observed by a neighbour who alerted the property owners and called 911. Both police and Carberry Fire department attended the scene and were able to extinguish the blaze that had caused significant damage to the structure and shed contents. The shed contained various household and antique items.

RCMP report that no one was injured in the fire.

RCMP and the Manitoba Office of the fire Commissioner are investigating and have deemed the fire to be suspicious in nature.
