Steinbach MLA, Kelvin Goertzen, is hoping that local residents, who are interested in paying their respects to the Canadian military members who lost their lives during Canada’s 12 year military involvement in Afghanistan, will visit a memorial vigil which is on display at the Manitoba Legislature in the buildings Rotunda till this Saturday from 8am-8pm.

The traveling vigil is made up of memorial plaques of Canadian military members that were killed during the Afghanistan war. The plaques were at the Kandahar Air Field in Afghanistan during Canada’s military presence. The display is making its way across Canada and will be in Ottawa for Remembrance Day.
