On March 23, 2015, at approximately 1:20am, Steinbach RCMP officers on patrol observed a prohibited driver operating an unregistered motor vehicle within the City of Steinbach. As a result of a traffic stop conducted by local RCMP members, the driver of the vehicle, Shandy Wagman, was subsequently arrested.
RCMP report that Shandy Wagman, a 22-year-old Steinbach resident, has been charged with driving while prohibited. Wagman also faces charges for numerous breaches of court orders and several Highway Traffic Act Offences.
Police say that this is the 5th time Shandy Wagman has been found operating a motor vehicle while prohibited and has been charged accordingly. Wagman has been remanded in custody and his vehicle impounded.
Police also note that a passenger in the vehicle was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking. A 3rd male passenger was arrested and released without charges.
