On June 5, 2022, at approximately 10:55pm, Steinbach RCMP received a report from an individual who indicated that a firearm had been pointed in their direction from occupants in a suspicious vehicle at a local gravel pit. The suspect vehicle then fled the scene.

Officers were provided a description of the vehicle and patrols were made in the area. The suspect vehicle was later located at a residence located in the RM of Hanover where the vehicle’s engine was still running.

Police say that two occupants were observed inside the residence. Subsequently, officers arrested the male driver and male passenger of the vehicle, both 26-years-of-age, without incident.

Other occupants inside the home refused to cooperate with the officer’s demands. RCMP then entered the residence and located a 38-year-old female and a 33-year-old male, both were arrested without incident.
