Amaranth RCMP are asking the public for any information into the whereabouts of a missing 61-year-old Sandy Bay First Nation man, Leslie Gordon Levasseur.
Police were first alerted to Levasseur being in potential medical distress inside a vehicle on Highway 16 at Road 51W, approximately 2 miles west of the community of Westbourne. When police arrived on scene, Levasseur had already walked away from the vehicle.
Levasseur was last seen on August 7, 2016 at 12pm. He is described as an aboriginal male, approximately 5’10” tall, has a medium build and silver grey hair which is possibly in a ponytail.
RCMP report that Levasseur does have a medical condition that can result in confusion and disorientation. If you come in contact with Levasseur, call 911 immediately, or contact your local police detachment.
Update
RCMP report that Leslie Gordon Levasseur has been located safe and sound.
